Sleep and Hypnosis: A Journal of Clinical Neuroscience and Psychopathology has been published since 1999. It is published four times per year in English. The journal does not charge a publication fee and the full-text journal articles are accessible for everyone without any charge.
The journal is an international forum for opinions within the field of sleep, dreaming, and chronobiology as well as hypnosis, the current state-of-the-art in the treatment of trauma-induced stress reactions, the art and science of psychotherapy, and experimental psychopathology.
Sleep and Hypnosis: A Journal of Clinical Neuroscience and Psychopathology provides rapid publication of manuscripts in a wide scope in the field, including psychological, social, biochemical, physiological, genetic underpinnings of the behavior as well as assessment and treatment approaches. Clinical, experimental, laboratory, psychological, epidemiological, and the normative studies are considered for publication. Additionally, reports of relevant studies in the fields of brain imaging, electrophysiology, molecular biology, neuroinformatics, neuropharmacology, neurochemistry and neuroendocrinology are published.
Sleep and Hypnosis: A Journal of Clinical Neuroscience and Psychopathology reflects the progress in this rapidly developing field, prompting the exchange of ideas between scientists at a global level. The journal is eminently suitable for university teachers, researchers in universities, research institutes as well as for postgraduate and advanced students.
The journal welcomes manuscripts presenting information not previously published in journals. All papers are peer reviewed. Papers are considered for publications in several categories: original article, editorial, review article, case report, letter to the editor, book review. The review process is usually completed within 8 weeks, but delays sometimes occur. Reviewers’ comments will be returned with rejected manuscripts at the direction of the editor.
PLEASE NOTE THAT there are no strict requirements on reference formatting at the first submission. References may be in any writing style and reference format as long as the style is consistent. Submission to the Sleep and Hypnosis: A Journal of Clinical Neuroscience and Psychopathology is taken by the journal to mean that the writing style and reference formats used by the journal (APA Reference Style) will be applied to the accepted manuscript by the authors at the proof stage.
Papers have no limits in terms of numbers of words, tables/figures, and references. Authors are encouraged, at no charge, to supply color figures, artwork or any color materials along with their manuscripts for publication.
